Accommodation overview: A cosy, recently refurbished cottage that is situated in the village conservation area. The pleasant village of Snettisham offers something for everyone, whatever your age and whatever the weather! The beach is less than three miles and, with the traditional seaside resort of Hunstanton five miles away, it is a perfect location for discovering Norfolk's splendid coastline. Ornithologists will enjoy the RSPB reserves close by and there are many excellent walks and cycle rides in the area. There are many attractions offering excellent days out nearby. The village has a selection of shops and there are also many pubs which serve food. Lilac Cottage and Laburnham Cottage (1189) are pretty red brick terrace cottages with pantile roofs, built in 1910 and situated in the centre of the village conservation area, in a tranquil setting. Newly refurbished to a comfortable standard, the cottages are warm, cosy and well equipped within easy walking distance of the local facilities. Pub: within walking distance Shop: within walking distance Ground Floor: Sitting Room attractively furnished with comfortable seating, flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD player CD hi-fi and free-standing electric flame effect fire Kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, table and chairs External Laundry Room with washing machine and tumble dryer - shared with neighbouring Laburnum Cottage First Floor: Bedroom 1 with a double bed Bedroom 2 with a double bed - this room has sloping ceilings Shower Room with a shower cubicle, washbasin and wc Garden: Small paved patio with garden furniture leading onto a shingle rustic garden with attractive bamboo planting, rustic fencing and enclosed , plus an additional seating area to grass through a small gate - these area's are shared with neighbouring Laburnum Cottage. Parking: Off-road for one medium sized car, directly in front of the cottage. Heating: G.F.C.H. Also Provided: Towels. Books and games. Notes: Laburnum and Lilac Cottages (property ref 1189,1190) are ideal for sharing a holiday with friends and family whilst still retaining individual privacy, unfortunately they are not suitable for children under 12 years of age due to the bed configuration. With slightly different styles they both offer very comfortable accommodation which is stylishly presented. Please note there are no single beds in the cottage. Short break bookings are very welcome; however they may be required to finish on a Saturday please check with Norfolk Country Cottages.

The village has a selection of shops and there are also pubs that serve food, such as the acclaimed Rose and Crown. Snettisham Water Mill is a beautiful Grade II* listed water mill and granary built in AD1800 in the local carr stone. It has been lovingly restored by the owner to provide extremely comfortable accommodation whilst retaining the original mill machinery which you can see through some carefully placed internal windows. This unique property stands in over one acre of its own grounds which include a lakeside garden, river and sluice race and a small area of ancient woodland, all in all a beautiful property in a stunning setting with an abundance of character.
