Accommodation overview: This traditional 400 year old fisherman’s cottage with views over the Fowey estuary is in the perfect spot, having the Old Customs House and the former Old Post Office adjacent to the property.

Through a door and down two further steps takes you into a delightful and comfortably furnished kitchen, dining area and lounge with fine views across the Fowey estuary. The cottage has been updated with all the modern necessities while keeping reminders of its antiquity. For example, the wall behind the hearth is exposed to show the ancient stone construction.

The main bedroom has a king size bed and wonderful views of the estuary. The separate family bathroom on this floor has a bath with electric shower overhead, WC and a basin. An additional one bedroom cosy studio annex, situated on the lower ground floor of Tucker’s Luck, is accessed via a separate stable door. The annex contains twin beds, a separate bathroom with handheld shower attachment over the bath, WC and hand basin, and an enclosed laundry area with Belfast sink.

The town is well provided with shops, pubs and restaurants to suit all budgets. Ferries across the harbour to Polruan (passenger only) and to Bodinnick (car and passenger). There are seasonal passenger ferries to Mevagissey and boat tours from the Town Quay. Facilities for various water sports include sailing, canoeing and fishing. There is swimming at Readymoney Cove which can be reached by foot within 15 minutes and provides a sandy beach for children.
Fowey and the surrounding area caters for walkers The Southwest Coastal Path connects Fowey with Polperro and with Polkerris. There are many coastal and inland walks, including the Saints Way heading to the North Coast. For those who enjoy visiting gardens and historic houses. Lanhydrock House (NT), The Eden Project, and the Lost Gardens of Helligan are all a 30 minute drive respectively, as are a number of other historic sites and beautiful gardens.
