These 2 quaint seaside towns each have amenities, including leisure facilities, restaurants, pubs and shops and the Lake District is 30 minutes drive. Isabels Cottage has a wet room and a bedroom on the ground floor, which will be an advantage to guests with mobility problems.

Old Bog Farmhouse is situated in a peaceful, rural area, surrounded by open farmland and with views to the Lake District Mountains. Aldoth is in North West Cumbria, 5 miles from the Victorian seaside town of Silloth and the wonderful Cumbrian coast and within easy reach of The Lakes, Carlisle and Hadrians Wall. There are numerous nature reserves along the coast and excellent walks along the beaches and nearby fells. The nearest pub is 3 miles, at Abbey Town, with many more amenities in Silloth including leisure facilities, restaurants, pubs and shops. There are 2 golf courses within 5 miles, one in Aspatria and the award wining Links course at Silloth.

All principal rooms have double or triple aspect with views to the Lakeland fells, Solway and the Scottish lowlands. It is situated in the historic hamlet of Bridekirk, just outside the Gem town of Cockermouth, which has a wide range of individual shops, restaurants, pubs, a major supermarket and visitor attractions. Ellwood lies 5 miles inland from the spectacular Cumbrian coast and only 2 miles from the unparalleled Lake District National Park.
