Knott View is part of Muncaster Estates, which includes the historic 12th century Muncaster Castle and beautiful grounds, owned by the Pennington family for the past 8 centuries. This 18th century house adjoins Newton House, the 2 properties may be let separately or together for up to 22 people and are set in over an acre of grounds. It is 1/2 mile from Ravenglass, a pretty fishing village on the Cumbrian Coast, with sandstone houses, pubs, hotels, shops and cafes. The Ravenglass and Eskdale narrow gauge railway operates from the village station and travels along the Eskdale valley. Wast Water, Englands deepest lake, Sca Fell our highest mountain and the beautiful Wasdale and Eskdale valleys are all nearby and offer great walking. Guests can take advantage of a 20% discount for entry to Muncaster Castle and a 10% discount off meals at the Pennington Hotel.
